PMBOK & PMP

Best Practice for the Project Management Profession

The PMBOK Guide is considered one of the most essential tools in the project management profession and is the de facto global standard for the industry. Project Management Professional (PMP) is an internationally recognised project management certification administered by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

The first edition of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge was published in 1996 followed by the second edition in 2000, third edition in 2004 and fourth edition in 2008. The fifth and current edition became available late December 2012. PMI is currently developing the sixth edition, which is expected in Q1 2017.
