I would suggest reading about Tuckman's model based team performance lifecycle as well.

Good idea, VicV. A popular article, The Five Stages of Team Development: A Case Study by Gina Abudi, looks at Tuckman's theory. The article takes you through each stage in detail.

The five stages:
  • Stage 1: Forming
  • Stage 2: Storming
  • Stage 3: Norming
  • Stage 4: Performing
  • Stage 5: Adjourning
There is an awful lot of good detail and ideas in this article.
