I currently use Excel to store my Project Plans and I am thinking of switching to MS Project. The Raid Log is a key artefact - please can someone tell me if there is a good way to create and maintain Raid Logs in MS Project. I have the OFFICE 2010 version and no easy way to upgrade to Office 2013.

Hi Mark,

I don't think you can create a RAID log in Microsoft Project. I find Excel is an ideal tool for creating and updating RAID logs. There are some free templates available by Googling RAID log.

Duncan,

Thanks for this, I don't think so either. I can't have a situation where my project plan is effectively split between two applications. I'll have to see if I can get the graphical benefits of MS Project from Excel!

Regards,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Take a look at the attached spreadsheet. Is this the kind of thing you had in mind?

Duncan,

That will do very nicely as a visual representation of my projects. I'm a bit ashamed that I got my organisation to buy MS-Project. Resource management is done centrally so I don't need it for that.
