Hi All,

Is there a generic online template for a Post Implementation Review for PRINCE2 projects?

What are the specific agendas in which this document should address as a minimum?

Thank you :)

Hi there,

PRINCE2 calls it a Post Project Review. It's used to understand whether the business benefits defined in the business case have been met. For me, the process is first to decide the objective and scope of the review. Then determine how you are going to carry it out. How will you collect information about the project, how it performed and whether it achieved its objectives? A minimum for any review would be whether the business benefits have been achieved.

If you use the review to look at the performance of the project, try to get to the root cause of any issue, especially when dealing with under-performance. In my experience, people often miss the root cause and end up describing what happened. What you should be interested in is 'why' it happened; what caused the under-performance. Once you know this you can avoid the same issue in future projects.

Do a Google search for post implementation review template and you'll find quite a few examples.
