As the post title states, I am looking for an free alternative software package to MS Project. I am totally open to suggestions :) Thanks in advance, Kit.

Take a look at GanttProject a free scheduling and management tool.

Thanks, that was the one I found and have chosen to use. It is basic but it does the job. Besides, its free so it would be false to expect an all singing and dancing piece of software.
