Hi Simon,

Firstly good luck with your project management exams, I hope they go well.

I'd recommend registering your CV with Wellingtone, who specialise in Project Management Recruitment; they also have a number of Project Management Jobs on their website too.

I hope those links are of use.

Kind regards,

Baz

Hi Baz

Many thanks for the reply and the information i will get my cv over to Wellingtone as soon as possible. Just one more question..... do many recruitment companies or for that matter companies in general consider "juniors" or candidates starting out in the field??

Hi Simon,

That's not a problem.

The simple answer is yes companies / recruitment agencies do consider junior candidates in the field; typically within Project Administrator / Junior Co-ordinator type roles, this is especially true for those with no work experience. Those looking for a career change (dependent upon previous work experience) may be able to jump a few steps up the career ladder within the field of Project Management.

I'd recommend having a look at the following resources & articles which I'm sure will help:

Getting a New Project Management Role - An excellent article for job hunters!
But I’m a Graduate, What Other Project Management Qualifications Would I Need?!

I hope that helps, if there is anything else just ask :-)

Kind regards,

Baz

The sites in relation to the resources and articles are awesome thanks so much for that, given me an idea of what to expect and where to approach. The idea of project co-ordinator sounds a great place to start in this, a new career path for me. Will start putting together a CV and send it out once these initial exams are out of the way. I do have an extensive background within engineering, couIpled with two year in recruitment. I feel i have something to offer and am really excited about this new career path.

I would like to thank you once again for your help, and if its ok - maybe bend your ear again??? ha ha

Regards
