Evening all,

Am in the throws of setting up a PMO and getting the business to change axis from being product focussed to one which views the products as a vehicle for releasing the projects, which we select as being most commercially viable.

The issue I am struggling with in setting up the PMO, is whether or not business change managers are needed. Do we have any views on this, as I am betwixt between seeing the value they bring and thinking that our business of 30 products and circa 25m t/o is potentially too small for the full blown PMO.

Do we have any thoughts on this?

While BCMs may be a good idea...and may be necessary...I would suggest starting with the individual project managers handling the change activities and driving the projects continuity with the goals and missions of the business as well as the functionality of the products.
