Hello Everybody,

I would would be very grateful for any useful information, hints and tips, about starting career in PM in UK.

I am 26 years old, and I am from Poland and I have recently moved to Hampshire, at the moment I have work in customer service, but unfortunately in company which gives no opportunities for future promotions.

Back in Poland I worked over 5 years in PM for construction companies, in transport and logistics and about 6 months in renewable energy. According to my education I have Master degree in Economics, I am Prince2 certified practitioner and I have few additional courses like management course certified by ILM in London, coaching and few others.

Project Management is something which I am realy keen on and so I would like to have an opportunity to start my career in UK, unfortunately I don't get any positive response from jobs I am applying for, I know that it may be hard to find such a job for a foreigner, but I am ready to start from a beginning and work in project support, just to be able to proceed with my career.

If anybody have some useful hints or advices or maybe could actually help in any way, it would mean a lot for me.

Hi there,

I guess you have sufficient experience and enough qualifications to hit the ground running. However, I believe that one of the reasons you do not get positive answers is because of no work experience in the UK. It would be indeed a good idea to seek a lower position just to get used to some work standards and ethics, but more importantly to interact with a diverse workforce.

Best of luck
