Re: Change of Career From IT into Project Management

Hi there, If you look at nearly all PM jobs they will state that experience is required. I would look for a Project Controller job and work up from there. I am a Project Controller, doing my Prince2, and then using the experience from Project Controling to then PM. Think about it, who is going to gi...

Re: Responsibilities - Clarification

I agree with you; there are overlaps of responsibility. I have checked the P2 Manual and it says ' This role is accountable for the quality of the products delivered by the supplier...' The SS represents the interests of those designing, developing, implmenting , facilitating, procuring the projects...

Re: Global Knowledge and QA for PRINCE2 Course

Hi Si, I am also booking my P2 exams soon. I would strongly recommend buying (its only £70) Dave Littens Prince Primer. It is CBT videos of the entire syllabus. There are also free test papers. It is designed for people who are taking a lesson based course. Its really good for 70 notes! Google it :)

Re: Advice on moving from IT Trainer to PM/Junior PM/BA

I would strongly suggest to take the Prince2 exam. I am currently studying for it and from what I have read online, it does seem to be a basic requirement of most PM jobs.

I have bought Dave Littens Prince2 Primer (google it) and it covers the entire syllabus for £70!

Re: Quality Review Meeting (Prince2)

Take 3, I think it is the below but could someone confirm please? To review a document based product to it's Product Description to ensure that the document conforms to the Quality Criteria outlined in it's Product Description. Can someone give me an email please? I am not 100% clear on this still, ...

Re: Quality Review Meeting (Prince2)

Alternatively, is it to compare a Product Description to a specialist product to ensure the specialist product conforms to it's Product Description's spec (quality criteria)?

Quality Review Meeting (Prince2)

I am slightly confused about the type of document that is reviewed in the Quality Review Meeting. Is it: A Specialist Product that is in the form of document. (i.e. planning skimatic for a building) A Management Product Document (i.e. Product description) Both of the above. Basically, any type of do...

Re: How much experience do you need to realistically pass the PMP exam?

Thanks Duncan.

I think with my limited PM experience that the APMP cert for Prince2 Practitioners would be most appropiate. Am I right in saying that that APMP covers a similar syllabus at the PMP (Pmbok)?
