We are starting to set up the SCRUM approach for projects which have tight schedule constrains and not finalized requirement baselines. The daily SCRUM meeting would be the equivalent to your example, which is a good answer to my question.

I am a fan of having a rough WBS draft as early as possible to make clear the scope and to give an idea of expected effort (especially to the customer and sponsor). I read the PMP Exam Prep by Rita Mulcahy and then passed the CAPM and PMP exams. In general the CAPM is more about the ITTOs; you should know the ITTOs by heart.
