Re: Which Project Phase is HyperCare?

Interesting question. Personally, I would have it as part of the project. I would include hypercare and stabilisation in the project plan and handover to the support team to complete the hypercare period before I closed the project.

Take a look at Trello. I use the application for house renovation, personal task list and website development. It fits your description well and is free.

Re: Online PM Tools

I use a combination of Evernote, Trello and Excel for managing my projects. These work well as a low cost option and allow effective sharing between teams with members located in different countries.

Re: PMP training provider in the UK

Hi Kutz,

Personally, I've found QA Training very good, although it is some time since my last course with them.

My colleague recently did his PRINCE2 training with Learning Tree and was very happy with the course.

I have a couple of best practices to suggest: ⋅  Often, we are working in virtual project teams across the globe. Utilise different time zones to meet objectives. For example, I use the time difference between India and the UK to my advantage. Getting software upgrades carried out during I...

Re: Unconventional Tips for Project Managers

Write 'live minutes' for your conference calls. This helps people in remote locations follow the topics being discussed and see the actions they have been assigned. The minutes are available immediately the call finishes and don't become a chore to be completed later. My team really like this approa...

Re: Do I need project management software?

You'll often pay a premium for branded project management software. There are plently of generic tools that can help you manage projects effectively. I use a combination of Evernote, Trello and JIRA. I find Evernote useful for sharing meeting minutes and actions. Trello is ideal for sprint backlog p...
